Long Live Vinyl’s silver event of 2025 is The Drop, which describes itself as featuring “open-mic cyphers, showcases from up-and-coming local artists, and DJ sets from local legends.”

More than a live event, The Drop extends across multiple venues, video and even translates perfectly into zine culture for social platforms. At its heart has been a regular monthly night at Overdraft Records in Southampton.
Their dizzying cast list of DJs and rappers have not only been provided with a platform — by founder Mark James, host Dr. Nicky and team — they’ve also uplifted the project as a whole with each and every event.
From Long Live Vinyl’s view from the wings, that’s artists including Samplehead, Disorda (pictured), G-MAN 777, Eternal Gloom, NX Panther, Kid Hype, Ayem, DJ DSK, DJ Sare, Mass Appeal DJs, Whoopi Goldbarzz, Chantal Sibanda, Stevo, DJ Disgo Dan, DJ Ryan Mac, and DJ Milton.
What does the Long Live Vinyl silver label signify? It means that whatever or whoever we’ve awarded it to is truly important and making a difference. In short, miss at risk!
