It's National Album Day tomorrow!

Island Records have announced the release of Zooropa on blue vinyl as part of National Album Day in the UK. It’ll be available in HMV stores across the UK from 13 October and also on U2.com.

Zooropa is U2’s eighth studio album. It was released in July 1993 and hit Number 1 in the sixteen countries, including the UK and US. Produced by Flood, Brian Eno and The Edge, the 10 tracks on Zooropa – inspired by the band’s experiences on the Zoo TV Tour – include singles Numb, Lemon and Stay (Faraway, So Close!) and were recorded in just 6 weeks in early 1993. The 1994 Grammy Awards saw the band take home the prize for Best Alternative Music Album.
This release is part of a week-long series of events and activity around the country celebrating all aspects of the UK’s love of the album – new releases and classic recordings across all genres of music. This inaugural event comes in a year that coincides with the 70th anniversary of the album.
Join us in celebration! At 3:33pm tomorrow, Saturday 13 October, honour National Album Day by setting everything else aside and listening to your favourite album. Find out how else to get involved here.
