It’s no secret that the resurgence of interest in vinyl records has put a massive strain on the few plants that are still in operation. Yet, slowly but surely more plants are popping up around the world to meet this rising demand and Intakt! is the latest to arrive.

The new factory has joined Germnay’s Optimal Media and is just one of a few pressing plants still operating in the country. Intakt! founders Max Gössler and Alexander Terboven told Berliner Kurier they plan to serve small and medium labels with 30,000 records a month and promise a four week turnaround. Their first batch of new vinyl is due to ship next month.
