Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets tour postponed

Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets

Nick Mason, Gary Kemp Guy Pratt, Lee Harris and Dom Bejen, aka Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets, came together with the simple idea of playing some early Pink Floyd—the songs pre Dark Side Of The Moon—that hadn’t been given a live outing in decades. This was the first time Nick had played live since Live 8 in 2005, and quickly after a series of small shows, the band launched a theatre tour through the UK, North America and Europe that promptly sold out.

The band had planned to tour again this year but have now released a statement postponing their UK and European dates.
The official statement reads: ‘Under the advice of the government due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the unilateral decision by the theatres to close at these uncertain times, we have had to postpone the UK shows until October.’
‘We are currently working on re-scheduled dates for the shows in London, Southampton and Dublin. Customers are advised to retain their tickets at this time.’
The dates for the UK shows have been rescheduled and are as follows:
October 2020
Thursday 01 – Bath Forum
Sunday 04 – York Barbican
Monday 05 – Cardiff St David’s Hall
Wednesday 07 – Gateshead’ Sage
Thursday 08 – Edinburgh Usher Hall
Friday 09 – Manchester O2 Apollo
Sunday 11 – Oxford New Theatre
Monday 12 – Leicester De Montfort Hall
Wednesday 14 – Sheffield City Hall
Thursday 15 – Ipswich Regent
Friday 16 – Liverpool Philharmonic
Monday 19 – Brighton Dome
Thursday 22 – Birmingham Symphony Hall
Saturday 24 – Guildford G Live
The statement goes on to say: ‘The European leg of the tour, which was due to begin on 18 May in Brussels, has also been postponed due to most of the governments in Europe forcing a complete lockdown of public assemblies.’
Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets Live At The Roundhouse will be available on double-vinyl on 17 April.
