The Psychedelic Furs announce first new album in 30 years

It’s hard to believe that World Outside was released in 1991…

Psychedelic Furs

Influential post punk stars, The Psychedelic Furs, are set to release their new album—their first in nearly 30 years—Made Of Rain through Cooking Vinyl on May 1 2020. Their new single Don’t Believe was released last week (see below) and has already reached 45,000 views on YouTube, showing that there’s more hunger for their New Wave sound now more than ever.

To mark the release of Made Of Rain, the band have announced that they’re playing a special show at the Royal Albert Hall in London on May 14. The night is expected to be both a showcase for their new material and a celebration of their unforgettable hits. Tickets to Royal Albert Hall will be available next week to fans who pre-order the new album from the band’s official store.
Led by vocalist and lyricist Richard Butler with his brother Tim on bass, The Psychedelic Furs have released seven critically acclaimed studio albums so far. In recent years they’ve toured continually throughout North America, as well as playing acclaimed shows at festivals such as All Points East, as well as having tracks appear on the Call Me By Your Name and Stranger Things soundtracks.
Made Of Rain capitalises on The Psychedelic Furs’ unmistakable sound. The album was produced by Richard Fortus, whilst mixing duties were handled by Tim Palmer (David Bowie, U2, Robert Plant).
