Marika Hackman joins line-up for sold out Stand Up To Cancer gig

Taking place at London’s iconic Union Chapel, this celebration of fantastic musical talent is taking place with one intention – to raise funds for the terrific charity campaign, Stand Up To Cancer…

Stand Up To Cancer

On 11 February 2020, singer Marika Hackman is set to appear alongside other headlining acts at the now sold out Stand Up To Cancer concert. Hackman is joining a truly memorable line-up that includes British post-punk band, White Lies, as well as artists Maisie Peters, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Aaron Smith. Bringing the whole show together on the night will be the Capital FM Breakfast show host and TV presenter, Vick Hope.

Marika Hackman released her critically acclaimed third album Any Human Friend  in August of last year. Speaking about the record, Hackman said: “This whole record is me diving into myself and peeling back the skin further and further, exposing myself in quite a big way. It can be quite sexual. It’s blunt, but not offensive. It’s mischievous.” She’ll be touring the UK extensively from late February onwards. Click here for ticket information.
White Lies will be headlining the charity concert, having just completed a tenth anniversary tour for their debut chart-topping album To Lose My Life. Maisie Peters, the 19-year-old lyricist and YouTube sensation, will be appearing alongside them in the roster, as well as Benjamin Francis Leftwich, the indie-folk singer currently touring his celebrated third album, Gratitude.
Launched in 2016 and now going into its fourth year, the concert is a key part of the Stand Up To Cancer fundraising calendar. Notable past performers include Kodaline, Laura Mvula, James Morrison, Editors (Tom Smith), Andy Burrows, Seafret and more. It’s been described by audiences as a magical and unique evening of live performances from established artists, including Ivor Novello, Brist Award and Mercury Prize nominees, to the rising stars of tomorrow.
