At The Palace is a brand new event taking place at the iconic Crystal Palace Park in south London on Sunday 26 July 2020. Bringing reggae back to the park 40 years after Bob Marley and the Wailers played the Crystal Palace Garden Party, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astro, will be headlining the inaugural event with more acts to be announced in upcoming weeks.
At The Palace hopes to bring a carnival atmosphere to Crystal Palace Park. The one-day event will be jam-packed with live music headlined by reggae legends UB40 featuring the unmistakable vocals of Ali Campbell and beats of Astro. There will also be an array of fairground rides, an incredible choice of food stalls as well as free activities to ensure an action-packed day of fun, food and music.
UB40 are Britain’s greatest reggae artists with a rich history of over 30 years in which they have clocked up more than 70 million record sales worldwide with hits including ‘Kingston Town’ and ‘Red, Red Wine’. They have topped the charts all over the globe and released over 50 singles in the UK alone. They have been Grammy-nominated for Best Reggae Album four times, and in 1984 were nominated for the Brit Award for Best British Group.
UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astro brings together two of the founder members, that crucially feature the unmistakable vocal of Ali Campbell, an integral part of UB40’s unique sound. At The Palace is an opportunity to sample the unforgettable live experience of the UK’s greatest ever reggae band.
