Stereophonics and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds set to headline Teenage Cancer Trust concert

The Teenage Cancer Trust has announced four of the acts set to headline its annual fundraising concert series at the Royal Albert Hall in 23-29 March 2020.

Sterephonics headline Teenage Cancer Trust concert

Headlining the 20th instalment of the concert is renowned electronic duo Groove Armada, Welsh rockers Stereophonics plus a special acoustic performance from Paul Weller, Manchester-based Noel Gallagher’s High-Flying Birds and funk aficionados Nile Rodgers & CHIC, with more special guests to be announced soon.

Stereophonics, who are set to open the concert, performed at the first ever Teenage Cancer Trust gig at the Royal Albert Hall back in 2000 alongside returning special guest, Paul Weller, who is set to repeat his well-received acoustic set.
Andy Cato and Tom Findlay will also be appearing as Groove Armada ahead of a brand new studio album which is set to release this summer. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will also be performing at the concert ahead of soon-to-be-released music: a new EP Blue Moon Rising. It will mark the third EP of new music from Noel to be released in less than a year – Black Star Dancing was released in June 2019, followed by This Is The Place in September.
Nile Rodgers & CHIC are set to perform what will be a fittingly upbeat and euphoric show to close out the 20th edition of Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall. Click here for additional line-up and ticketing information.
Before Teenage Cancer Trust was established in 1990, there was no specialist caner care for teenagers and young adults. Those aged 13-24 were being treated on adult wards, or in children’s wards, and this could cause additional stress and trauma. Today, around half of all young people with cancer are treated on 29 Teenage Cancer Trust wards across the UK by specialist nurses and youth support teams. Now almost every young person with cancer can get support from specialist Teenage Cancer Trust nurses wherever they live.
The phenomenally successful concerts–a series of music and comedy events–have been curated by The Who frontman and Teenage Cancer Trust Patron Roger Daltry CBE. The gigs will also help celebrate the 30th anniversary of Teenage Cancer Trust.
